Everything featured in my shop is either handmade or produced in Europe. Please note that the actual product might look slightly different from what you see on your computer screen.

Copyright

When you buy a product on my website you buy the item, not the copyright. When you buy an original piece of art or print you can’t reproduce it. It is against the law to copy it, reproduce it or use it for commercial purposes. Copyright on everything is © Iris Compiet, unless stated otherwise. Any infringement on this will be dealt with accordingly.

Shipping & handling

The webshop is run by me, the artist, Iris Compiet. I take great care of creating, handling and shipping everything myself. Please understand that I am a working artist and need time to create as well. For this reason, I do one post office run every week.

I aim to process and ship out orders as soon as possible. In order to be able to offer lower shipping rates I ship in bulk and will ship as soon as the minimum required of orders for shipment has been met. If you need your order before a certain time, please contact me before placing your order. Thank you for understanding

Shipping costs

Orders within The Netherlands are sent through PostNL. Orders to other EU countries and the rest of the world are shipped through DPD or PostNL. Upon request your order can be shipped using FedEx or DHL, please contact me to receive a quote. Shipping costs include postage and handling costs.
There are several different shipping methods. There are limitations to tracking and insurance coverage to certain countries. I try to give you options for shipping your order as safely as possible, there are options for tracked or untracked. Please be aware if you choose to have your order shipped untracked there will be no tracking number and I won’t be able to refund any lost or damaged orders sent with the untracked option. x
As an independent artist and small webshop owner, I can’t be held responsible for mistakes made by postal services across the globe. I do whatever is in my power to ensure your order will arrive safe and sound.
Tracking is optimal within the EU and US but sadly less accurate to other parts of the world due to the fact that local postal services in the country of destination do not always scan the barcodes to keep the tracking up to date. This is out of my control.

IMPORTANT NOTE
With insured shipping, I can get a refund from the postal services, though please note that they are allowed to deliver the package within one year after sending without refunding money. They will need proof of the damaged parcel/product, so if your package arrives damaged you will need to take pictures of it in unopened state and of the damaged contents.

EU: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

World: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine & United States of America.

At the moment my webshop is closed for customers from the United Kingdom due to the Brexit rules. I’m trying to find an alternative to still be able to cater to customers from the UK. My apologies for the inconvenience.

Orders can take a while to arrive, shipping times depend on the country you live in. It can take a while due to customs procedures at the port of arrival in your country.
Generally, the following shipping times are normal once your order has been processed:

  • Netherlands: 1-3 days
  • Europe: 4-8 days
  • The United States and Canada: 8-21 days (depending on the size and weight of the parcel)
  • Australia & New Zealand: 20-42 days
  • Rest of the world: 1-8 weeks

Note these are estimates, in busy periods such as during the holiday seasons these shipping times may vary. Keep this in mind when ordering for a special occasion.

Delays in shipping due to Covid-19
As the world is still dealing with a global pandemic shipping times are severely impacted and shipping might take longer than usual. Please be patient, the postal services around the globe are overloaded and things take much longer than usual. Please take this in consideration. 

Double-check your address

If you do not fill in the correct address or an incomplete address your order might take longer or might not arrive at all. I am not responsible for orders lost or late due to incorrect addressing on your part. Did you spot your mistake, please contact me immediately and I will see if I can fix it.
However if I made the mistake I will resend the order at no cost to you.

Track your package

You’ve chosen for the tracked or insured option and want to know where your order is? Go to: www.deutschepost.de, use your code, country and zip code to see where your order is. You will receive an update with a tracking code directly from the webshop as soon as your order is sent to my shipping partner.

What to do when an order is returned to me?

If you are not home when your order is delivered by your postal services they’ll usually leave a notice for you to pick it up at your local post office. If you do not do this within a certain amount of time the parcel/order will be returned to me, costs for this are €4 per returned parcel. When this happens and the parcel is back in my possession I will contact with two options, I will either refund your money for that order minus the shipping costs (this option is not available if an item is personalised, damaged or made to order) or resend it, in which case you’ll have to pay for shipping again.

Signed & sketched books

All books are signed with my name/signature. If you wish an unsigned copy please leave a comment in the comment section upon completing your order.
It is possible to dedicate the book to someone special, if you wish to have the book dedicated please leave the name in the comment section upon completing the order.

Resin casts and sculptures

Each resin cast is made by hand by myself, Iris Compiet using Smooth Cast 321 and is available in the following variations: grey, white or pre-primed resin. Note it is possible that there is a slight color difference between different grey casts as this is a manual process. The casts are unpainted, you can paint them yourself using paints used for things such as miniature wargaming, I myself use Vallejo. A flyer with information on how to prep your piece for paint will be added to the order. The grey and white resin versions also need a primer coat before painting, the pre-primed version is ready to be painted.
Each sculpt will have a hook attached to the back in order to be able to hang it from the wall.
Cured castings are rigid and durable. They resist moisture, moderate heat, solvents, dilute acids and can be machined, primed/painted or bonded to other surfaces. Castings can be displayed outdoors after priming and painting, however exposing them to extreme circumstances will eventually damage the piece . Unpainted castings will yellow over time – more quickly when exposed to ultra-violet light.

These casts can’t be shipped with any other items in the webshop (besides other casts), if you wish to order anything else please place a separate order.

Please note it is strictly prohibited to make copies of the resin casts for commercial or private use! 

Payment and coupon codes

Accepted payment methods in the webshop are creditcard, Paypal and iDeal.

Got a coupon code? These can be redeemed at the ‘coupon code’ box in the cart or at checkout. They can no longer be redeemed after the payment process. If you have forgotten to redeem your code upon checkout I’m very sorry but I can not manually redeem it for you. No refunds will be given.

Gift cards

Gift cards can be purchased in the shop in the amounts €5, €10, €25, €50 or any custom amount with a minimum of €5 and maximum of €500. Gift cards can be redeemed 2 years  after the purchase date by entering the unique gift card code upon checkout. Gift card balance may be checked here.

A gift card cannot be redeemed after the payment process has been completed. If you have forgotten to redeem your gift card I’m very sorry but I can not manually redeem it for you.

Invoice & receipts

An invoice/receipt will be placed in your package, if you’ve ordered something for a friend please let me know and I will leave out the invoice.

Pre-orders

In case of pre-order items, these will be sent out as soon as they are available. If you’ve ordered any other items with your pre-order please be aware that your order will be held back until the pre-0rder item is available. If you wish your other items to arrive separately please place separate orders.

Refunds and exchanges
Wrong item

If by chance you’ve received the wrong item please email me with a photo of what you’ve received, your order number and details. Only claims received by email will be dealt with.

Important

I advice to always select the tracked shipping option for any large orders. Unfortunately I can’t give a refund (no money back, no replacements or discounts) if your order was lost or damaged when you chose untracked. Orders shipped with the tracked option will have a tracking code and insured.

In case of smaller items getting lost or damaged please contact me with your order details and I’ll see what I can do for you.

I’m very sorry but being a small independent artist I can’t take the blame for the postal services around the globe. I’m not a big co-operation, I’m not able to pay for the accidents caused by postal services not doing their job.
